John Burgess has been named John N. Woodhull Professor of Philosophy

John Cooper has been named Henry Putnam University Professor of Philosophy

Daniel Garber has been named Stuart Professor of Philosophy

Gilbert Harman has been named James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of Philosophy

Gideon Rosen has been named Stuart Professor of Philosophy

Michael Smith has been named McCosh Professor of Philosophy

Added 04 May 2009: Gilbert Harman receives Behrman Award

Added 30 April 2009: Shamik Dasgupta (NYU) and Boris Kment (Michigan) will join the Department of Philosophy as Assistant Professors in the Fall.

Added 14 April 2009: Peter Railton (University of Michigan) will be in residence November 9 to 20 2009. He will be available to talk about his work with students and faculty. More details will follow.
