ANNOUNCEMENTS

Philosophy Senior, Jake Nobel was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa student prize.

John Burgess has received the Phi Beta Kappa teaching award.

Gideon Rosen has been named one of four recipients of this year's Graduate Mentoring Awards by the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning.

Michael Smith has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Two seniors, Caroline Hanamirian '13 and Jake Nebel '13, have been awarded the Moses Taylor Pyne Honor Prize, the highest general distinction the University confers on undergraduate students.

Daniel Garber has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  Other AAAS members from the department include Gil Harman, John Cooper, and Alexander Nehamas, and emeritus faculty Paul Benacerraf, Bas van Fraassen, Harry Frankfurt, and Saul Kripke.
