ABSTRACT:  This paper explores three aspects of Wilson’s discussions of sensible qualities.  (1) The primary/secondary quality distinction as grounded in seventeenth century natural philosophy.  (2) Berkeley as astute critic of that distinction.  (3) The sensible qualities as a locus of interaction between the history of philosophy and contemporary philosophy.
