This paper sketches an original externalist account of reasons as facts within a multi-place relational schema, and shows how the account meets various familiar challenges and satisfies diverse theoretical desiderata.  Among other things, the paper explains how the account meshes with an original account (introduced and defended elsewhere) of the ‘prescriptive oughts’ issued by artificial normative systems such as games, law, and etiquette.  On the account offered, relational reasons and prescriptive oughts emerge as distinct and essential elements of normativity, neither reducible to the other.
