The Department of Philosophy is excited to once again offer an undergraduate summer abroad experience to study the life and work of the father of existentialist philosophy and theology, Søren Kierkegaard (1813 – 1855), in his beloved city of Copenhagen. Led by Professor Hans Halvorson, “Kierkegaard in Copenhagen" (PHI 367) will take place May 22 – June 24, 2023.
According to Halvorson, “Our program will follow in Kierkegaard’s footsteps – both figuratively and literally – walking along his favorite Copenhagen streets and asking ourselves ‘What is the meaning of it all?’ "
Additional information can be found in the course brochure on the Global Programs website or by emailing Professor Hans Halvorson or Olga Liamkina in the Office of International Programs.
