Philosophy undergrad Konstantinos Konstantinou ('22) recognized for "Little Fugue on Covid-19"

Tuesday, May 4, 2021

Philosophy junior Konstantinos Konstantinou received honorable mention in Princeton University Concerts' 2020/2021 Creative Reactions Contest for “Little Fugue on COVID-19,” which he describes as a textual, polyphonic fugue inspired by J. S. Bach’s “Little” Fugue in G Minor, BWV 578. The contest asked students to reflect on what music has meant to them throughout the pandemic.

Konstantinou, who is also pursuing certificates in cognitive science and Hellenic studies, says he found composing a literary piece on the model of a musical piece gave him new insights about the nature of thought and language.
